Welsh Corgi Diet

Attention all Welsh Corgi lovers and owners!

Is your Corgi getting the proper diet each day? Is he or she getting the right amounts of calories, carbs, proteins, and fats?
·

  • Meat and vegetables should be the focus of their diets
  • A 25lb Corgi should eat around 870 calories per day

See the link below for some information regarding Corgi diet:

As always, check with your veterinarian on whether the food you are adding to the diet is appropriate for your Corgi or not!

Foods for skin and coat

1. Chia Seeds: rich is B vitamins, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, protein and zinc, and packed full of antioxidants. They contain lots of alpha linolenic acid (ALA), which is form of Omega 3s. Chia nourishes skin from the inside out, and those Omega 3s help combat chronic skin inflammation.

2. Eggs: a nutritional powerhouse and they contain bioavailable protein. Eggs give hair strength and luster too. Zinc in the eggs also support skin health and shiny hair. The yolks are a valuable source of biotin, a B vitamin sometimes referred to as vitamin H or vitamin B7 which helps with hair loss, skin irritation, lesions and fungus. Organic eggs from free-range chickens provide a great ratio of Omega 3s to Omega 6s.

3. Almonds: contain the entire vitamin E family. Almonds are also a great source of B vitamins, copper, manganese, magnesium, zinc, and bioflavonoids.

4. Coconut: organic and unsweetened, just sprinkle some on your pets food. Either use coconut oil, or flakes.

5. Carob: contains all the principal vitamins and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, magnesium, silica, vitamins A, B1, B2, niacin, and protein.

6. Oats: support healthy skin and hair; one of the key ways they do this is by supporting the pets gastrointestinal system, helping remove toxins from the body.

7. Liver: contains calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper, vitamins A, B6, C, D, E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid and biotin.

8. Wild Salmon: one of the best sources for Omega 3s.
